A Warwick (RI) Co-Op of the former Aldrich HS & Lockwood HS captured the city's first state divisional crown in 1939. The team was led by future US National Team star Billy Thayer, after whom Warwick's municipal rink is named.

Happy Birthday, Joe Cavanagh!

Born this day in 1948, Joe is widely considered one of the greatest players in RI hockey history. In addition to his many on-ice accomplishments, his efforts on behalf of youth hockey development cannot be overlooked. The 3x Harvard All-American was a charter inductee into the RI Hockey Hall of Fame and is also enshrined in the U.S., Harvard, Beanpot, & RI Interscholastic League Halls of Fame.
