NTP meetup for Marylanders near Bethesda ๐ We got the bagels and were gonna get boba after, but boba opens too late ๐ญ runners always somehow finish before anything opens LOL.
Technology brought us all right into one pic ๐ since one of us had to squeeze a long run in ๐

NTP had a transition clinic this weekend!! ๐โโ๏ธ๐ดโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Transitions are such a weird part of triathlon at first ๐ After the swim youโre usually breathing hard, dizzy, overstimulated, trying to find your bike, remember your helmet, and socks and shoes and somehow start biking LOL.
Practicing helps your brain and body learn the routine ahead of time so race day feels way less chaotic and stressful ๐ซถ The smoother your transitions get, the less energy and mental chaos you waste during the race.
Also learned: bend over once LOL ๐ญ Meaning if youโre already bent down, do everything at once โฆbecause it will prevent panic-shopping your transition area like you lost your wallet at Costco

Meet Rebecca โ NTP Leader | NTP Class of 2022 | Here to hype + here for the Vibes
About 10 years ago, I was a couch potato dealing with a chronic health condition, crying over a physical chemistry exam. Somehow, watching documentaries on weightlifting and Ironman changed the direction of my life.
I followed that curiosity, spent 6 years in strength training, and eventually found my way into endurance sports. NTP was the catalyst that made a meaningful change.
Now Iโm in my 5th year of this life, and the community and connections in this space have taught me how to grow not just as an athlete, but as a person. It wasnโt always great, but I genuinely loved the journey, and somewhere along the way endurance sports became my favorite way to explore, challenge myself, and enjoy life.
What Iโve learned is simple: small, consistent actions are the biggest wins. Stay curious. Stay joyful. And be proud of the little things you do.

Meet Lauren from our NTP Class of 2024โ swim expert. Trust the training. Let go. Enjoy the race.
My favorite part of being in the DC Tri Club is being part of the NTP Leadership Team. I joined the DC Tri Club in 2023 as a member of NTP as a way to create a work-life balance and combat the stress and anxiety I generally carry. Not only is my mental health better, but I formed intergenerational friendships and found a fun and supportive environment. While I generally enjoy training more than racing, racing has shown me how strong I am in both body and mind. Whenever I have doubts, I remind myself of my training, which gives me the confidence to push through. The best part of racing for me is when I forget Iโm in a race because Iโm enjoying myself so much- seriously it happens! Itโs okay to have some fear about what you are able to accomplish but rely on your training and remember to have fun. Youโll always do better when you let yourself relax!
