I find the discourse over the handling of the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase a little shortsighted.

Take a step back for a second and realize this. Usually the Men have the briefcase for a long time while the Women’s is notorious for being cashed in on the same night a lot.

Obviously they wanted to go a different direction this year and the Men’s was used to further an existing storyline. One where the winner got to cash in on the champion who…was the one who cashed in on him a few months ago.

I get that sometimes we wanna fantasy book that someone more deserving should have won? But I think this was the right move. The entire focus will be on the WOMEN’S briefcase going forward as it elevates a newcomer with all the talent in the world to the main event.
