Last but not least. The lone freshman on the roster! earned the respect of the coaching staff and his teammates very early. His playmaking skills, confidence, energy and joy for the game was a pleasant addition to our team. His role grew every game. Unfortunately his season was cut short due to injury. He was missed beyond measure. What he brought to the table was something we couldn’t replace, but glad he is in the fold. Point guards are rarely made so it’s great when one shows up willing and ready to work! His return to the play is right around the corner and we are excited for what’s to come!

We heard a lot about how young we were this season. It’s pretty obvious that when you have 6 sophomores all in your main rotation. What’s not obvious is how dedicated a group of young guys could be and how willing they were to grow and be pushed. They had their share of ups and downs this season but they all competed at an extremely high level and as a class the make up a huge reason for our optimism going forward. showed so much grit playing 14 games through an injury that would end his season. All while having a huge impact on both ends of the floor and a few highlight reel worth plays. was forced to play out of position most of the season due to injury but never complained and fought tooth and nail with whomever we matched him up with. battled through pain and injury all season as well, never missing a game or practice. His passing ability and unselfishness created a lot momentum shifting players for us throughout the season. .garrett10 improved everyday and his potential is scary. To watch him play his first games of the season compared to his last are like watching a different person. It’s quite possible that he lead IAC conference in rebounds this year. Finally we have to congratulate our two all conference selection and the accomplishment of being voted all league speaks for it self. The expectations for this group returning is sky high!

Next up are our Rising Seniors. This group of young men walked through the doors during Covid and lost a valuable year of learning as freshmen. stepped up as our team leader early during last summer. Due to an injury we missed his leadership and toughness on the court to start the season but, in a sign of his maturation, he still found away to have an impact until he was cleared to play. stepped up and helped us steady the ship early by taking on an unexpected brand new role and more responsibility. He responded by tallying 124 assist on the season, a double digit scoring average and tenacious on ball defense. He also lead our team in total minutes played. A new comer to our team .23 had a steep learning curve to start the season. Despite the challenges and difficult moments he took his role from spot minutes to starter and a bonafide defensive stopper. was a nightmare for teams to score when he was on the floor. If he didn’t block the shot he altered it for sure. His commitment to the weight room and growing confidence in his abilities stated to show clearer this season. We definitely missed his presence down the stretch… we wished the season was a few days longer to see what could have been.
