Roundtable Discussion: Building Local Power to Meet the Moment⁠ Tuesday, Sep 1 | 5:30 CT 6:30 PM EDT⁠ ⁠ Join us for a critical roundtable discussion and community space designed for reflecting on the local political landscape and relationships between movement organizers and lawyers, exploring local challenges, legal needs, and roadblocks to liberation, and unearthing what accountable legal support can look like in this moment. During our time together, we will have small group discussions anchored by local movement lawyers and organizers who will share the context of their work, their experiences working on community-driven issues, and some of the tensions and challenges they faced. The small group will workshop ways lawyers, organizers, and community members can build deeper relationships of trust and create meaningful solutions to the challenges facing us all on the road to liberation. ⁠ ⁠ The event is free, but capacity is limited.
