"We deeply regret to inform you that the doors of Washington Yoga Center will close permanently on February 28, 2023.

Ever since Covid, we have struggled to meet our expenses. We managed to get by through donations from our members, a go fund me campaign, the D.C. government grant, and my own contributions. We made every effort to stem the tide of falling membership and attendance by advertising, offering classes online, creating a library of recorded classes, and having sales. We rented another space in the hope that people would come and take yoga classes in person. But nothing worked--revenues continued to decline with diminishing membership and few new people joining.

And now, we are left with no choice but to close down because the studio is not financially viable.

We wish all adieu and thank you for your support and generosity over the years which made WYC one of the finest studios in the area.
