Studio One Dance

☁️✨ Studio One Dance is seeking warm, nurturing and energetic artists for our 2023 Summer Session and 2023-2024 Dance Year. Necessary availability on Saturdays from 9-3pm, and occasional weekdays after 4:00 pm. Training begins June 2023.

Applicants must have a strong dance background, experience teaching creative movement and ballet to children, and feel confident teaching Parent/Child classes. Higher education or certification in a dance/performance related field is preferred for instructor positions. Please send your letter of interest, resume and dance reels to [email protected]

The studio will be closed today, Saturday, March 12th due to inclement weather and possible hazardous travel conditions. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Information regarding make ups will be emailed this week.

🌹 In 1998, Toni Braxton made history as Beauty and the Beast’s first Black Belle. During Braxton’s time as Belle, Alan Menken wrote and composed a new song for the musical, ‘A Change in Me.’ He created the song to showcase Braxton’s voice, specifically. As of 2014, the song was still being used in the musical.

Your dancer will love this day of Tchaikovsky tunes, fairy waltzes, and dancing dreams! The workshop includes a dance class full of magic and movement, a story time tea party, and a creative craft project. Tea party treats will be supplied by Studio One. Dancers bring lunch from home.

🌸 COME DANCE UPON A DREAM WITH US!

This February, along with our usual monthly story theme, we’ll be celebrating Black History. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite children’s books highlighting influential Black Dancers, choreography created and performed by Black artists, and stories that inspire us.

We will be dancing together in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr, and his message of love and unity!
