Washington DC Youth Rugby The Washington DC Youth Rugby club is a co-ed rugby club for children ages four and up in the DC metro area. Our program is FREE for all kids.

The Washington Warriors were founded by the Washington Rugby Football Club in 2004. We started with exactly seven kids our first match entering the Under-15 competition of the Potomac Rugby Union's (PRU) summer touch league. The team has grown to include Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15 age brackets. We had over 60 kids participating in the summer of 2014 ranging in age from six to 14 years old. We accept boys AND GIRLS of all ages and athletic ability. We provide uniforms for the kids as well as provide transportation to all away matches. We do encourage parents to participate and volunteer if possible.

We are saddened to hear about the loss of a member of our rugby family. For those that don’t know, Washington DC Youth Rugby partners with The Roosters throughout the year. They welcome our kids to play for their club to give our kids the opportunity to play.

Please consider helping out the GoFundMe for this young man’s family.

Rest in Power young rugger!

To our Roosters Families and our DMV rugby community,

It is with great sadness that we pass along the news that the student that recently lost his life on the Potomac was a player of ours.

Cephas Nnamdi, an outstanding young man and bright student, was a new U19 Rooster and good friend of many of our players. We are truly saddened by this awful tragedy. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family. Please consider supporting the GoFund me

We will let you know of any services planned.
