We celebrated the 33rd season of Gonzaga Hockey at our banquet in the Carmody Center Monday night, and it was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible year.

A huge thank you to the unsung heroes of this program — our amazing volunteers. From the parents and students who ran the scoresheet and the clock, to those who brought snacks, played music during games, cheered from the stands, baked for the bake sales, and worked concessions during football games — this program simply wouldn’t run without you.

Thank you to , , and Michael Cross for capturing so many unforgettable moments throughout the season.

We’re incredibly grateful to our dedicated coaches — Tony DiCarlo, Mike Veneri, Kenny Smith, Steven Bobys, and Amar Lal — for the time, leadership, and energy they pour into the team. And to who are always there when we need them!

Special thanks to Dan Rogers, Allison Rabin, Lynn Jasek, and Jeff Moore for the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the program moving forward year after year.

And a very special shoutout to Katie Amacio, who seems to work around the clock and somehow manages to pick up more slack than any one person should ever have to — always with positivity and dedication. This program runs on her effort more than most people will ever know.

Finally, we couldn’t have a season without the incredible support of our sponsors. Thank you for believing in Gonzaga Hockey and helping make this season possible.

Here’s to the players, families, coaches, and community who make Gonzaga Hockey what it is. 🏒

After playing through sophomore year, Harry found a new way to stay part of the game he loves — by managing.

His passion for hockey never left. His commitment to the team never faded. Gonzaga Hockey still has his heart — and we’re lucky to still have him on the bench.

Jafar-I Moore – Student Athletic Trainer, joined the hockey program last year without ever having attended a game — and quickly became part of the family.

Learning the sport from the ground up while supporting the team every single day, he brought professionalism, curiosity, and steady care to the bench. But what truly sets him apart is what most people never see.

Our trainers are the unsung heroes of the program — the first ones there — They ice the bruises, calm the nerves, manage the chaos, and somehow keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Jafar-I has embodied that role with patience, pride, and heart. Every great team needs someone steady in the background — and he has been exactly that.
