🔥 Luke McCaffrey earned his spot on the Washington Commanders’ 53-man roster!

Wole asked Fox Sports Radio 96.9 FM & 1340 AM Hopewell, VA’s Commanders reporter Felix Trammell what he saw from Luke McCaffrey that showed he had done enough to make the team.

Felix pointed to Dolphins week as the turning point.

McCaffrey started getting meaningful work with the first-team offense and Jayden Daniels, especially on crossing routes, and he continued making an impact on kickoff returns.

Washington tested several players in the return role, but according to Felix, McCaffrey was the best option they tried.

After appearing to be on the roster bubble, Luke McCaffrey made his case and secured a place on the Commanders’ initial 53-man roster. 🏈🔥

Filip Hrgovic pulls off a stunning comeback against Moses Itauma to become the IBF Heavyweight World Champion!

In another edition of Going to the Body with the Urban Sports Scene, Wole and Ray break down Hrgovic’s dramatic ninth-round TKO victory over Itauma at The O2 Arena in London and what the result means for the heavyweight division.

Itauma appeared to be on his way to a career-defining victory after controlling the early rounds with his speed, combinations and power, even dropping Hrgovic in Round 2. But Hrgovic survived the early punishment, stayed composed and began taking advantage as the 21-year-old Itauma visibly fatigued in the later rounds. Itauma had never previously gone beyond the sixth round as a professional.

By Round 9, Hrgovic was applying relentless pressure before Itauma’s corner threw in the towel, giving Hrgovic the vacant IBF heavyweight championship and handing Itauma the first defeat of his professional career. The victory also made Hrgovic the first Croatian heavyweight world champion.

The Washington Commanders’ initial 53-man roster is officially set for the 2026 NFL season, but the roster-building process is far from finished.

Felix Trammell, Washington Commanders reporter for Fox Sports Radio 96.9 FM & 1340 AM in Hopewell, Virginia, joins Wole on the Urban Sports Scene podcast to break down Washington’s final roster decisions, surprising cuts, injury situations and the biggest questions remaining before Week 1.

The Commanders released a long list of players during final cuts, including Sam Hartman, Robert Henry Jr., Van Jefferson, Fabian Moreau, Shy Tuttle, Jaden Bradley, Antonio Hamilton Sr. and Nicholas Petit-Frere. Washington also placed Trey Amos and Jeremy McNichols on injured reserve with designations to return, while Deatrich Wise Jr. was placed on the Reserve/PUP list.

There are plenty of intriguing decisions on the initial roster. Washington kept three quarterbacks, with rookie Athan Kaliakmanis joining Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota. The Commanders also kept seven wide receivers, including Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, Luke McCaffrey, Jaylin Lane, Treylon Burks and Dyami Brown. Rookie center Matt Gulbin made the team, while undrafted guard Tanoa Togiai was another notable inclusion.

Another major storyline is Washington’s depth. The initial roster includes just three active cornerbacks, while the offensive line could still use another center or interior option. That makes the waiver wire and post-cut free-agent market important as the Commanders continue preparing for Week 1.

The Baltimore Ravens’ initial 53-man roster for the 2026 NFL season is officially set! Founder of Double Take Sports Carita Parks joins Wole to break down Baltimore’s biggest roster decisions, surprise players who made the team, notable cuts and what the roster tells us about the Ravens heading into the regular season.

One of the biggest stories is undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano earning a spot alongside Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Fagnano led the NFL with 509 passing yards during the preseason while completing 74.7% of his passes with three touchdowns and one interception. His performance convinced Baltimore to carry three quarterbacks on its initial roster for the first time since 2020.
