WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH

Today we honor and recognize: How A Black Woman Helped To Revolutionize Pilates In The United States. Kathy Stanford Grant, an African American woman who was certified by Joseph Pilates himself to teach his methods. Since few outside of the Pilates classroom know her story, we want to fill you in. https://www.theroot.com/how-a-black-woman-helped-to-revolutionize-pilates-in-th-2000085074

Pilates is a mind-body exercise that involves repetitive movements to improve strength, flexibility, and posture. Developed in the 20th century by Joseph Pilates, it uses around 50 exercises that flow from five core principles: breath, alignment, stabilization, mobility, and transversus abdominis engagement.

Happy Spring! 🌺🌿🍃🌺🌼
We’re on Day #12 of the March Fitness Challenge.

Let’s Go. You Got This!

Many understand the benefits of REGULAR exercise, few consistently apply them. After 40 years in the fitness industry—teaching thousands of classes and training others while maintaining an active lifestyle—I truly appreciate what Dr. Kenneth Cooper, the "father of aerobics," meant when he called physical fitness a "lifetime commitment."

Dr. Cooper devoted his life to preventive medicine and sparked a global fitness revolution. He was the inspiration behind my career, and his work was the foundation of my extensive library on fitness, health, and wellness. He turned 95 on March 4th and continues to look great!

What’s your 30 minute exercise goal TODAY!?

Welcome to a new week and day light savings time. Woohoo! That means more light in the evenings after a very long cold winter in many parts of the USA. March is the perfect time to start an easy to follow program that will help get you moving as we prepare for Spring.

Join us for 30 minutes of daily exercise for the next 21 days. It takes 21 days to form a new habit and 90 days to establish a permanent lifestyle change. By committing to a goal for three weeks, the behavior becomes automatic, and continuing it for three months ingrains it into your life.

Staying consistent with these habits helps regulate metabolism, maintain steady blood sugar levels, and improve mental clarity.

Let’s Go! Comment “I got this” to let us know you’re in and what you’re doing!

Hello MARCH. As we kick off Women’s History Month! Woman continue to Step Up and Speak Out. Vani Hari Food Babe - a renowned food activist and author is calling for actions against corporations poisoning Americans with chemicals like “glyphosate” in our food. Vani Hari expressed outrage and rallying up her food babe army to join her at the Supreme Court on April 27th.

Many know how I feel about the food I eat. WE MUST READ THE LABELS. Ingredients matter!! The rise of toxic chemicals, additives and preservatives in our food as been gradually happening and now it’s out of control. I started to paying attention as a Shaklee distributor in the 80’s. They taught us nutrition and wellness- if the ingredients end in “ate” don’t “eat” it, if there’s more than 3-4 ingredients, don’t buy it and that applies to what we put on our skin.
