Brittany has been pole dancing since 2020 (or 2018, counting her first class ever), and moved all over the U.S. before settling in the DMV area.

She remembers the first class she ever taught well - nervous, then excited to share her love for pole with her students. Any other instructors relate? 👀

Jamilla, we will never forget you.

We started this series to document and share the history of pole and highlight the people who helped shape the pole world. We wanted to give the icons and giants of pole their flowers and learn from their experiences.

We are incredibly grateful that we got to speak with Jamilla last year and hear her stories directly. Alongside being a legend and pillar of the pole world, she was a warm and beautiful person, inside and out.
