I help women get lean and become their best self. Commuting every day, working long hours in a male dominated environment was definitely a stressful environment. A number of months went by where I noticed not only the decline in my physical health, such as weight gain and breaking

Ladies 40+, tired of energy crashes and slow recovery? I get it — and there are simple, science-backed nutrition habits that help. 1) Prioritize protein at every meal to support muscle repair and strength gains. 2) Focus on key micronutrients (vitamin D, iron, magnesium) to boost mood and energy. 3) Choose steady carbs—think whole grains, beans, and fiber—to avoid blood sugar spikes. Try one change a week and notice the difference in recovery and steadier days. We pair these nutrition shifts with personalized coaching at N‑Gage Fitness to make them realistic and lasting. Ladies 40+, want simple nutrition swaps that actually help your strength and sleep? I’ve got three evidence-backed tweaks you can try today. 1) Protein timing: aim for a good portion of protein at each meal to preserve lean mass and support workouts. 2) More fiber: add veggies, legumes, or whole grains to steady blood sugar and reduce night sweats. 3) Evening choices: choose light, protein-forward snacks and magnesium-rich foods to help your brain wind down and improve sleep. These aren’t one-size-fits-all rules — Nicole personalizes plans and pairs them with strength training at N‑Gage so you get what works for you. Ready to make small changes that add up? Hey — I get how scary strength training can feel in your 40s and beyond. But three simple moves done well can change your energy, bones, and hormones. Try this beginner-friendly routine and make it your new habit. 1) Box or chair squat — feet hip-width, sit back to a chair, chest up. Start bodyweight, then add a light kettlebell or dumbbell when it feels steady. Why: boosts metabolism and protects bone by loading hips and legs. 2) Romanian deadlift (hip hinge) — soft knees, push hips back, keep a flat back; use a light kettlebell or dumbbells. Start with hip-hinge drills, then add load as form stays solid. Why: builds posterior chain strength that supports posture and metabolic rate. 3) Farmer carry (loaded carry) — pick two equal weights, stand tall, walk 20–40 steps. Use one weight if grip or shoulder feels off. Why: taxes core, improves bone density and real-life strength. Do 2–3 rounds, 6–12 reps per strength move, 20–40 steps for carries. Rest as needed. Scale each move by lowering load, reducing range, or shortening sets — then progress when you feel confident. I coach women to prioritize form over ego. You’ll protect joints, support hormones, and actually feel stronger in everyday life. Ready to start? Visit https://wix.to/Muo0uGF to get my simple progressions and a printable cue sheet. 💪🙂
