So proud of my cousin Marilyn!

New half marathon PR unlocked! Congratulations to Marilyn N., who ran the rainy Parks Half Marathon in 1:48, a new two-minute PR, at age 45!

Marilyn is a busy physician and mom who trains very early in the morning to fit in her miles. Since we started working together in December 2025, Marilyn has worked on slowing down during her easy runs, while pushing harder during her speed work. The result--Marilyn has achieved a PR in every race distance since we started coaching her.

We are so thrilled for Marilyn and look forward to her continued progress as she trains for the Houston Marathon in January.

Huge congrats to Marilyn!

Total 90 finisher
A big celebration for Lien James our group regular volunteer photographer! Today was her 150th Parkrun and her 50th time volunteer! She just turned 75 a few days ago so make it a triple celebration for her! It is also Dean’s 50th Parkrun, congrats Dean!
We had a special guest runner: the famous ultramarathon champion Michael Wardian who is recovering from his 2650 miles southbound of the Pacific Crest Trail so he settled for second place with 6 seconds behind young Oscar Klapper (JM 11-14)who finished in 20:10! Incredible!!
Last but not least: our old director Matt Churchward is back from England and staying for three years!Welcome back Matt!! What a wonderful day at Fletcher’s Cove!
