Our future scientists, inventors, engineers, world builders, explorers, innovators, designers, problem solvers, and creators… all hard at work this week turning big ideas into real-life experiments, discoveries, and “aha!” moments. We are studying the past, planning for the future, and imagining new possibilities in the present. All through the power of play! 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔧👨‍🏭🧑‍🏫👨‍🚀👩‍⚕️👷‍♂️

Session 7 is in full swing! We are inventing, exploring, playing, and trying so many amazing things. What a wonderful way to round out our season at NPS Summer!

It was Thursday, so you know what that means… DRESS UP DAY! With space week in full effect, we saw so many astronauts and far-out costumes from our totally rad campers and staff. We’ll put a few extra pictures in the stories today 🪐👽🛰️🚀🧑‍🚀

We’re having a moon-ificent week at camp! 🌙

Today was packed with galactic fun, silly moments, and creative exploration of our fascinating universe. We’re loving every minute of this cosmic journey!

We had a sun-sational time at camp today! ☀️ From creating radiant works of art to imagining life on other planets, our campers shined bright as they explored the wonders of space. Talk about a day that was bursting with star power! 🌞✨

With the DC heat in full force, it’s a great week to focus on the chilly depths of space! And while our minds were orbiting the stars, our hearts stayed grounded—today, the Eagles went to read to the Larks campers as part of their weekly service project. Our campers are truly out of this world!

That’s a wrap on session 5! Our campers enjoyed learning about Hula dancing today during a performance and lesson from Melelana Polynesian Dance. It was neat to see how the dancers tell stories through the movements of their hands!

This afternoon, Hawks and Eagles performed skits they wrote based on remixed fairytale titles. Robins and Larks also acted out skits and plays using handmade puppets and masks this week.

This session was full of adventure, creativity, and cultural connections. We hope our campers carry these memories with them and feel inspired to tell their own stories—through words, art, movement, or simply the joy they share with others.
