We had a great time at the Stoney Creek BBQ Cookoff this weekend. Could not have asked for better weather for an August weekend. This venue has incredible views of the Blue Ridge mountains and not too bad a drive for us.
The cook went very smooth. We were not thrilled with the ribs and the judges agreed.

Here’s how we did:
10th place chicken
22nd place ribs - not surprised
11th place pork
4th place brisket - it was pretty spectacular
11th place overall

We also participated in the ancillary contests and placed 5th in the Filibuster cocktail contest with a lime cherry bourbon splash.

The 2026 Giant BBQ Battle is in the books, and Blue & Gray BBQ are the WINNERS of America’s Best BBQ Sauce!! 🥇🏆

Our main competition was meh. Here are the numbers out of 31 teams.

8th brisket (😳)
17th overall (😑)
