About Peter Leone

🏅 Olympic Silver Medalist

Peter Leone is an internationally respected Grand Prix rider, trainer, broadcaster, and author who represented the United States Equestrian Team for more than three decades. Throughout his remarkable career, he has competed and placed in six FEI World Cup Finals and has ridden at the highest levels of international show jumping. Today, he is recognized as one of the sport’s premier educators, helping riders achieve success from the junior ranks through top-level competition.

From our beginnings in New York to serving riders in the heart of our nation’s capital, we continue to be humbled by the opportunities to expand access to equestrian sport and education.

Being entrusted as the concessioner of the historic Rock Creek Park Horse Center and partnering with the National Park Service has been an incredible honor. This Memorial Day, Metropolitan Equestrian pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are deeply grateful for their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to protecting the freedoms we cherish.

Please note that all Metropolitan Equestrian locations will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday.
