The 2026–2027 competition season has officially begun!
Our New York Tri-State Area teams and our Washington, DC teams have officially kicked off their IEA & AEL practices! Two zones, one MET family, and we’re ready for another exciting season ahead.
At Metropolitan Equestrian, our teams go beyond the show ring. Riders build leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence while gaining access to academic guidance, college and scholarship opportunities, career exploration, and workforce development.
Here’s to big goals, great rides, strong academics, and another unforgettable season! 🐴📚🏆

💙🐴 Our Volunteers Are the Backbone of Our Organization! 🐴💙
There is so much happening behind the scenes at Metropolitan Equestrian, and we simply couldn’t do it without our incredible volunteers!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has rolled up their sleeves to help us rehabilitate and build new jumps for our students at Rock Creek Park Horse Center, along with the many other projects underway to improve and enhance the facility for our riders, horses, and community.
Every jump painted, every project completed, and every hour donated helps us continue building a better, stronger horse center for everyone who calls Rock Creek Park Horse Center home. 🛠️🐎
Whether you’re an experienced horse person or simply someone who wants to give back, there’s a place for you on our volunteer team!

🏆 CHAMPION AT THE HAMPTON CLASSIC! 🏆
A huge congratulations to MET Tri-State Team member Beatrix Sorensen on an incredible accomplishment — being named CHAMPION at the Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities (LIHSSRD) Championship, held annually at the 2026 Hampton Classic Horse Show! 🐴💙
Beatrix continues to make the entire MET family incredibly proud through her dedication, determination, and love for the sport. Watching our riders achieve their goals on such a prestigious stage is exactly what MET is all about — creating opportunities for equestrians of all abilities to learn, compete, and succeed.
A very special thank you to Genna and everyone at Brookside Show Stable, and of course Toto, a.k.a. “The Wizard of Oz,” for all that you do for Beatrix and for our organization. Your continued support, dedication, and belief in our riders and MET’s mission mean more than we can say. 💙🐴
Congratulations, Beatrix! We are incredibly proud to have you representing MET Tri-State and bringing home a Championship from the Hampton Classic! 🏆💙

🏆🐴 Congratulations David from MET Tristate! 💙
What an incredible day for David and Herman! David had an amazing show at Parkview Riding Academy, bringing home Reserve Champion! 🏆
We are incredibly proud of David and everything he continues to accomplish. His hard work, determination, and love for horses truly shine every time he steps into the ring. These ribbons represent so much more than placings—they represent confidence, perseverance, growth, and the courage to keep challenging yourself.
And this is only the beginning! 💙 We are especially excited to see David continue his journey alongside his fellow MET teammates as they prepare to participate in The Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities (LIHSSRD) in 2027, with the incredible opportunity to qualify for the LIHSSRD Finals at the Hampton Classic Horse Show! 🏆🐴💙
We cannot wait to watch David and his teammates represent MET and show everyone just how much is possible when riders are given the opportunity to pursue their passion.
Congratulations, David! Keep riding, keep achieving, and keep reaching for your dreams! 🐴🏆💙

🐴 ONE MET. TWO CITIES. 16 YEARS STRONG. 💙
A special moment at our 2026 MET Charity Clinic & Horse Show as Metropolitan Equestrian riders Caroline from our New York community and Renee from our Washington, DC community come together to train, compete, and celebrate MET’s 16th year at the historic United States Equestrian Team Headquarters in Gladstone, New Jersey.
This is what Metropolitan Equestrian has grown to become.
From our beginnings in New York in 2010 to our presence in our nation’s capital, our riders are connected by the same organization, the same mission, and the same MET family — no matter which location they call home.
For 16 years, we’ve been building more than equestrians. We’ve been building community, opportunity, friendships, and connections that reach across cities and generations.

💙 GIVE BACK TO THE EQUESTRIAN COMMUNITY | THE RIDERS CLOSET 🐴
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of The Rider’s Closet and their commitment to making equestrian sport more accessible to riders everywhere.
Today through August 12, during the MET Charity Clinic & Horse Show, we are proud to host a Rider’s Closet Donation Box at the United States Equestrian Team Headquarters in Gladstone, NJ.
♻️ We invite our riders, families, trainers, and friends to bring new or gently used equestrian apparel to donate throughout the event. Your outgrown or unused show clothing and riding apparel can make a meaningful difference for another rider.
Founded by Georgina Bloomberg, The Rider’s Closet helps ensure that riders who may not otherwise have access to proper equestrian attire can participate in the sport with confidence.
MET is incredibly thankful for our longstanding relationship with The Rider’s Closet and for their continued dedication to expanding access and opportunity within the equestrian community.

🐴 Day 1 of the MET Charity Clinic is officially underway!
We are incredibly grateful to Stretch Zone Bedminster for their generous sponsorship and for joining us on-site today to support our riders, families, and community.
As part of today and Wednesday's event, all attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary 15-minute stretch session with the Stretch Zone team!
Stretch Zone specializes in practitioner-assisted stretching, using a science-backed approach designed to improve flexibility, mobility, range of motion, and overall well-being. For equestrians, where balance, posture, mobility, and recovery are so important, taking care of our bodies is just as essential as taking care of our horses.
We are proud to partner with organizations that recognize the importance of supporting the whole athlete — both in and out of the saddle.
💙 A huge thank you to Stretch Zone for investing in MET’s mission and helping make today’s Charity Clinic such a special experience.
