It’s always a pleasure watching and capturing people having fun, and the Caribbean Wine Festival at Linganore never disappoints. 😎📸

Due to the significant amount of rainfall we’ve received and the predicted storms for tomorrow, we have decided to cancel the Goombay Memorial Day Hike scheduled for Monday, May 25th at Harpers Ferry.

Unfortunately, the trail conditions will not be favorable for a safe and enjoyable hike.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will work on rescheduling this hike later in the year and will announce the new date soon.

This year’s Caribbean Wine Festival at was definitely different, but the energy was still the same. It rained on and off all day, yet that didn’t stop people from coming out and enjoying themselves.

Unlike previous wine festivals, the weather was cool, wet, and muddy — but the drinks were still flowing, the music was amazing, and the vibes stayed high all day long. 🌧️

A huge thank you to everyone who decided to stick it out and join us for another Goombay adventure. Rain or shine, that’s what we do!

Let me tell you… our hike to Old Rag Mountain never disappoints! ⛰️

Known as one of the most challenging hikes in the DMV, Old Rag Mountain is absolutely worth every step. Whether you’re brand new to hiking or a seasoned trail veteran, this is a bucket list adventure everyone should experience at least once.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting 27 hikers — and 20 of them were hiking Old Rag for the very first time! Everyone pushed through the rock scrambles, elevation climbs, and long miles and did an amazing job. The hike was tough, tiring, scenic, and rewarding all in one unforgettable day.

This marked my 7th trip to the summit, and every single time feels just as special as the first. Already looking forward to many more adventures on this mountain with the Goombay hiking family.
