What a joy it was to share a cup of tea with my neighbors at the Senior Center and talk about healthy eating and shopping tips for the best whole foods.

A huge thanks to Coach Jill for her presentation on the benefits of protein intake and “eating the rainbow” through colorful, nutrient-dense foods!

So happy to share that I am now a National Board Certified Health and Wellness coach. Taking a personal passion and turning it into a way to serve others is a joy.

When life seems to be firehosing you with so many things you must do to be healthy, it is hard to filter out what is real, what applies to you and what will actually help you feel better. That is where I am focusing…sustainable change.

I’ll keep sharing as I learn useful tidbits for living.
Message if you’d like to learn how to work with me.

made a great showing on this gorgeous chilly morning! We represented in both the 5k and 10k races in the annual . It was a fun morning while supporting many great local charities. Let’s keep showing up for each other. The world needs more of that.

Spartan New Jersey Recap:
Well that was a heck of a race. 10 days before the race, the weather forecast was mid-40s and rain late afternoon. Perfect. On the day…I was grateful that the rain held off for at least the first 90 minutes for my race. I have done cold and I have done rain. This was my first race in cold AND rain. I don’t recommend it. The last forecast had the temp staying in the 40s, but on the day, it dipped into the high-30s and the wind and rain picked up.

Going in, I felt I was prepared for the endurance, but really had no way to predict what kind of pace I might expect. I just prayed for strength and endurance to get me to the finish line safely. 🙏 Oh, and help in keeping my sense of humor throughout. To God be the glory that is exactly how I ended the day.

Medical was pretty busy with injuries, DNFs, and hypothermia. I was fine through the race, but the chill set in as soon as I stopped. The rigs were wet and slippery, I opted for the penalty loops. The carries were long and uphill…muddy and slippery.

Ended the 14-mile course at 15.75 miles and 5488 ft gain. Still had a smile for the camera and a positive attitude all the way to the car with heated seats and steering wheel. Thank you to the guy who gave me a cuppa joe in the lodge!

To all who raced on Saturday, well done! May your memory be long enough to guide your prep for the future, but short enough to hit the commit button once more.

Thanks to and coaches, prep and ❤️

Fixing America’s Food System - Robert Irvine 04/22/2026

Restaurant Impossible meets the US military mess! I always liked Robert Irvine’s Restaurant Impossible and did not know about his foundation or the work he has done to improve how we feed our troops.

Key points
- Quality whole food does not have to be expensive

- Mess hall food can taste good and be nourishing

- Leadership and sound business strategy belong in the kitchen

Lifestyle changes are hard. We’re all shaped by years of routines, habits, and comfort-driven choices. Over time, though, those patterns can stop serving us and even begin to work against us.

I’m incredibly proud of L.M. for stepping outside her comfort zone and committing to meaningful change. Together, we focused on breaking old patterns and building healthier, sustainable habits that support her energy, confidence, and overall well-being.

Her results speak for themselves, and I’m grateful for her kind words.

Change is possible.
