Easter morning miles at Oakwood University!
The beautiful campus was glowing in the early morning light as we navigated the course of an incredible OU5K at the 130th Alumni Homecoming. A special shoutout to President Dr. Gina Brown for welcoming runners and getting the race underway!
Impact Update: We added $2,000 to our mission, bringing our total impact to $32,000 for the year!  From DC to Huntsville, the running community is showing up in a big way.

The Marine Corps Marathon also known as “The People’s Marathon” celebrated its 50th Anniversary. It marked my 15th time across the finish line.

Never imagined it would/could happen again but beat me for the second time this season. First in Tokyo and again at MCM. Her training consistency was unmatched and she stayed focused on her goal of beating me. Hats off for a solid marathon season.

The Oakwood University Fun Run/Walk & Virtual 5K is officially in the books and what a success it was! 🙌
Even with the federal government shutdown, you showed up, showed out, and helped us raise over $30,000 for Oakwood University! 💛💙

We’re already planning next year’s official Oakwood University 5K complete with the full race-day experience: start/finish arch, DJ, timing, tents, and more!
PLUS — Oakwood University President Dr. Gina Spivey-Brown has requested that we host a 5K during Alumni Weekend! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
