🎙️ Last week, WPSD Athletic Director Kallie Mendenhall was invited to join the Educational AD Podcast to share about the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD).

Here are a few key highlights:
🦁 WPSD is a close-knit school community serving approximately 140–150 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with full communication access through ASL.

🤟 Academics and athletics are united by the school’s core values: Access. Belonging. Commitment.

🏆 WPSD continues to expand opportunities through soccer, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, track & field, esports, boys volleyball, girls flag football, and pickleball.

🤝 WPSD student-athletes compete against both local hearing schools and deaf schools across the region, culminating in ESDAA championships.

Kallie also shared how WPSD empowers deaf student-athletes to grow, lead, and succeed—both on and off the playing field.
