Important Update for our Chicago Miles for Melanoma community.

After carefully monitoring the latest forecasts, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this Sunday's Chicago Miles for Melanoma 5K due to projected air quality remaining in the orange (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) range.

This decision was not made lightly. Our melanoma community includes many individuals who are immunocompromised, undergoing treatment or managing other health concerns, and their health and safety will always come first.

While we are disappointed that we won't be together this weekend, we are actively working to reschedule the event for this fall and are hopeful we'll have the opportunity to bring our Chicago community together later this year. We'll share updates as soon as a new date has been confirmed.

If you're a currently registered participant and are unable to attend the rescheduled event, we'll gladly mail your official Cabana Life UPF 50+ event shirt to the address provided during registration.

We are aware of the current air quality advisory in the Chicago area and want to assure everyone that we are actively monitoring the situation.

Current forecasts indicate that conditions are expected to improve by Sunday, and we will continue to follow the latest updates.

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, sponsors and staff is our number one priority. If conditions change or any adjustments to this Sunday's event become necessary, we will notify all registered participants immediately via email and our social media channels.
