You can sign up for the October 6th E.D.G.E. program PART 2 here https://www.patreon.com/user?u=32127223 for online training or group training.
The time will be from 10:30 to 2 pm eastern standard time Oct 6th.
This is a big must need nowadays so make sure you learn this. Its on Patreon so the video will be available for purchase if you miss that day. Make sure you get PART 1 so you can follow the progression I am teaching for this course. The progression is how you will get the reflexes to pull it off if you ever happen to come across such a dangerous situation. Hopefully not but its better to have and not need than to need and not have.
1) This course is for novice or advanced FMA players
2) Other styles, especially sport styles that do not have these self defense tactics within the fighting system.
3) Certifications are offered to those who learn and train it.

Knife defense is very important nowadays. This one, you start off slow and then go faster with time!
Knife self defense is something I take very seriously. And you should also. Contact me, [email protected] to learn Kuntao See www.PSDTC.com for more information...

E.D.G.E. stands for:
Engage – Only engage if you must. It is smart to get away and/or to get an equalizer
Disorient – Half beat hits in between defenses are a must while engaging with a bladed weapon
Grab/Grapple – An understanding of grappling is a must have here. You will learn how to grab off striking without getting hit. Its not easy to do and it has to be isolated heavy to get it down, with appropriate footwork.
Escape – Getting away as mentioned above is smart before engaging. However, many situations are not easy to escape so you do what is necessary to get out of there. Getting out of the area of such a confrontation will ensure no friends are able to jump in and the one with the knife does not pull out a gun. Always get out of danger, don’t make it worse than it already is. Getting away helps you get to your equalizer also.
This course consists of a blend of empty hand vs knife tactics from Kuntao, Pekiti Tirsia Kali and Inosanto Kali. Knives against an unarmed person is very dangerous and there is a good chance of getting badly hurt, crippled or killed. However, this course focuses on this subject area and with that, the more it is practiced, the better your chances of survival in this situation. This is a very precise geometrical science that needs to be worked heavily on to gain the proper reflexes to pull it off. And that all comes from doing all you learn through live play. Have fun learning and be careful!
To gain proper certification in the E.D.G.E. program, you must do 100 well documented hours of empty hands vs bladed weapons fighting utilizing the tactics you learned. Memorizing techniques and drills is not enough to defend this dangerous weapon. And I am very meticulous due to that danger. I will be doing online classes to teach it as a seminar. I can promise you will be very happy with this self-defense course. There are a few ways for me to still teach this course, so you get good results from it.
If you are serious about learning this program, message me [email protected] and we will take it from there.
Items needed for this course:
Training knife of various sizes
A good pair of Safety glasses, or helmet
A Mouthpiece
A cup is recommended
This course is held Sunday at 10:30:
Practical Self Defense Training Center
The University of Martial Arts
847 Hamilton Avenue Waterbury, CT 06706

The annual 14th Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun seminar...
The annual Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun seminar will be March 24th, 2024.
The Jeet Kune Do part will be a little different this year. I am going to teach a historical part of JKD where many in the JKD world started training in Kali to enhance their weapons skills. Pangkamute/Panantukin/Pananjakmin/Dumog will be the subject this year and how it fits together with JKD.
It is said that empty hand Kali had to be efficient enough to work well because in ancient times, if you lost your weapon or had to get to your weapon, your empty hand skills had to be tremendous. You will not want to miss out on this very destructive way to handle an opponent or two utilizing these methods. You will see how well it fits into JKD if necessary.
Wing Chun Course Description.
In this years course we’ll be exploring Wing Chun sticking hands, called “Chi Sao” into stand up “Chin Na” Grappling. The words “Chin Na” translate to English to mean “locking and controlling”.
The day’s material will go into details on how the Wing Chun forms sequences build perfect movement habits to blend joint locking and structural leverage. We’ll learn to safely regain control against an opponent intent on grabbing you, learn how to apply grappling hand tools to gain superior position and deploy unblockable striking options.
The seminar location will be at the:
Practical Self Defense Training Center
847 Hamilton ave, Waterbury, CT
Check in will be starting at 9am
Seminar starts at 10am (PLEASE be on time)

I get a lot of people writing me on how much they love TFW weapons. Well, I had to post this one because we get a lot of bladed weapons collectors buying TFW stuff:
I don't know if you will actually see this message or if its automated mail, but. I want to let you know that I've been studying knives from kitchen cutlery all the way to fighting knives. I've worked in other countries as security. Now I don't know everything, but i know more than an average person when it comes to knives and I've seen thousands-no 100s of thousands of knives. Campsite knives, fighting knives, butcher, etc.
I've been on a quest to find a perfectly designed knife.
Now... I'm not sure how I managed to find your website if I had to be honest, however.
Your knife is perfect. I just wanted to let you know. I own quite a few knives for various purposes.(some to take abuse over others) Own 8 bowies over the years of work. This is THE FINEST piece that I have ever seen. I truly look forward to it arriving. I look forward to training with it.
