We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our Championship Day!

The course was in great shape, the competition was strong, and the energy from our members was fantastic!

Congratulations Tim Purdy!

Tim made a Hole-in-One today while on a golf trip in Vermont.

Time aced the #14 hole at Equinox C.C. with a pitching wedge from 96 yards.

Rich Urso, Dave Bohara & John Young were there to witness Tim’s incredible shot!!

Congratulations to Ray Luzi on ANOTHER HOLE-IN-ONE! 🎉⛳️

Ray aced Hole #14 today, hitting an 8-iron from 140 yards for a shot that was absolutely perfect! 🎯

Russ Shine, Bill Wallace, and his son Will were there to witness Ray’s incredible shot. This marks the third hole-in-one of Ray’s career! 👏

And if this sounds familiar, you’re right — Ray also made a hole-in-one on Hole #14 just 9 days ago! 😲 This was the first time Ray had played Hole #14 since his last ace, and he did it again!

Safe to say, Hole #14 might just be Ray’s favorite hole! 😂

That’s TWO HOLE-IN-ONES IN TWO WEEKS! An unbelievable accomplishment and something you simply don’t see every day.

🌕 STURGEON MOON GLOW BALL 🌕

It turned out to be a beautiful night for our Sturgeon Moon Glow Ball! The clouds gradually gave way to clearer skies as the evening went on, allowing the full Sturgeon Moon to shine throughout the night. 🌕✨

It was great to see everyone out there having such a great time. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the night such a memorable one!

Day 2 brought fantastic rounds of golf, a hole-in-one, as our ladies wrapped up the 2026 Women’s Member-Member!

Congratulations to Kim Fuhrman and Laurie Wolfley, firing a blistering 62, combined with their opening round of 61, capturing the championship with a two-day total of 123. Maureen Butler and Heather Vigneau fired the low round of the day, with a wonderful round of 61, clipping Deb Cook and Deb Fountain’s consistent play, by one shot!

A strong effort by Sue DelPriore and MJ Kanabis sealed up the most improved round with a second day score of 63, five strokes better than day one.

And what better way to celebrate a great day of golf than with a hole-in-one! Congratulations to Robyn Wolman, who aced Hole #14 today! What an incredible shot and a memorable highlight of the tournament.

Thank you to all our ladies for making this tournament such a fun and spirited event. From great competition to sharing some laughs—and even a hole-in-one—it was a wonderful celebration of friendship and golf.

2026 Players Championship

Saturday & Sunday, August 1–2, 2026
The final round delivered plenty of excitement, especially on the back nine, where the leaderboard changed hands several times. The championship ultimately came down to the final putt on the 18th hole.
Matthew Shea put together an impressive finish, firing a 2-under-par 34 on the back nine to capture the Players Gross Championship by one stroke over Rob Renehan.
Rob Renehan just missed out on the Gross Championship but finished tied with Ryan Brahm for Low Net. The two players battled through two playoff holes before Renehan emerged victorious to claim the Players Net Championship.

Good afternoon, Great Neck Members,

Rain didn't stop today's Green Tee Championship, although it definitely made things a little more challenging. Players had to deal with wet fairways, slippery greens, and the occasional downpour, but everyone stuck it out and made the best of today’s conditions. While the scores were a bit higher than usual, there were still plenty of great shots, laughs, and friendly competition throughout the day. It wasn't the easiest day for golf, but the positive attitude and determination of everyone who played made it another fun and successful tournament.

Defending champion Bill Lautenberger was back to defend his title and, as expected, turned in another solid performance, with a solid 81 despite the difficult course conditions. Irv Miller also played solidly and won the Net division with a score of 74, holding off Mike Annon and Jim Flannigan who were hot on his heels. Great playing gentlemen!

2026 Mixed Team Championship
It was a beautiful day for our 2026 Mixed Team Championship, with perfect weather and some outstanding golf.
At the end of regulation play, two teams finished tied for first with impressive net scores of 6-under-par 65. Tony & Jane Buglione and Jim & Jody Nolda headed to a playoff to determine the champions. Congratulations to Jim & Jody Nolda, who won on the first playoff hole to capture the 2026 Mixed Team Championship.
