"The tri training program was amazing both as actual triathlon prep, and for the camaraderie from the ladies involved; I even made a new life-long friend. Not only was it a great way to stay motivated to train (accountability buddies!), but we learned a lot through guest speakers and additional educational opportunities. The training plan is customized to each individual, which is a huge undertaking and that alone is worth the cost of the program. Penny really knows her stuff and is everyone's #1 fan! I felt so supported, never judged, and always encouraged."

We are so excited to bring this event to the cedar valley. It's a fundraiser for The Family YMCA of Black Hawk County. Did you know that the YMCA gives out over $400,000 worth of scholarships for families in need in our community each year, it's so much more than a swim and gym. Join in on the fun!

We are excited to announce that our race is now sanctioned! We are only one of 4 races in the state of Iowa to do so and one of the first races you can qualify for the 2027 Age Group Nationals which is taking place in Des Moines!!!

Tonight we will have our first open water swim of the season!
Some things to remember:
1.) Bright colored swim cap is required, if you don't have one the shore person will for you.
2.) Only swimming from the dock is allowed on Monday nights.
3.) Swim starts at 6 to 7 pm
4.) $1.00 donation is recommended, all funds are donated back to the park.
5.) Location is at Wyth Lake Boat Dock at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo IA, middle of the park.
