Aztalan Day 2026 will include our annual favorites like the Antique Tractors. Volunteer Stuart Haberman helps to rally his tractor loving friends to join us to share their favorite machines.

Look at the dragon fly that landed on my hammer. After a horrible fist try that sat on the shelf of unfinished projects, then the table of unfinished projects, then the unused forge of projects that have caused a quandry, then the floor of disgraced projects that annoyed me, I got back to it, redesigned the initial shape and cuts and got this. Now it goes onto the table of stuff that needs to be welded into other stuff...

Ok, end of day three. In have spent 15 hours on this blade. I still have maybe 20 more to go, not counting figuring out the heat treat. This is a fun challenge, keeping it straight, moving it around, getting the initial fuller forged in. But my shoulder is TOAST after three days. I had to break the Trenton anvil back out and turn her lengthwise to keep it fairly straight and work on the bevels.

This weekend I'll be streaming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday working on a big project. What? Come find out! It will involve making some tools, I'll have toto move the camera around a bit as I well be in other areas of the shop than normal and there will be sparks. Curious? Tomorrow night, 6 at the latest I'll be starting.

Tonight's project, a first attempt at a vase. I'm going to be making a full bouquet of flowers for a show later this year and I need a good holder.
