Happy Birthday to one of the hearts behind WBR ✨
For 25+ years, Jana has poured so much of herself into this program. She has coached nearly every age, watched generations of WBR dancers grow up, and has been one of those people who is simply always there.
If you’ve ever been coached by Jana, you know how special she is. She makes every dancer feel like a rockstar. She’s your biggest hype girl, your safe place, the person you can always count on for a laugh, and someone who loves every WBR kid like they’re one of her own.
And even if she hasn’t been your coach, there’s a pretty good chance Jana has been part of your WBR story.
She’s behind the camera capturing the moments and memories we get to look back on for years. She’s alongside Cait helping coach our Juniors, always ready to plan a team bonding or find another way to make our girls feel connected and loved. She’s the backbone of WSI, taking care of everything from apparel and judges to schedules and all the little details in between. And she’s always one of the first people to step in wherever WBR (or a dancer in distress) needs her.
Jana is so much more than everything she does behind the scenes, though. She is part of what makes WBR feel like home.
She is family. She is history. She is someone generations of dancers have grown up knowing will always be in their corner.
Jana, thank you for the countless hours, photos, laughs, hugs, pep talks, team bondings, competition weekends and memories you’ve given this program. Most of all, thank you for loving our dancers and WBR as deeply as you do.
