Watertown Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department Offering diverse, year-round park and recreation activities for the City of Watertown, WI. Organized sports for adults and youth, fitness, and more!

The Watertown Park, Recreation & Forestry Department has been public recreation provider for Watertown area for many years! Watertown features many beautiful parks, including neighborhood & dog parks and sporting complexes. In addition to our wonderful park system, our citizens can also enjoy our Aquatic Center (in Riverside Park) and our Indoor Pool (located in the Riverside Middle School). We truly live within an urban forest. Our forestry department maintains all trees within our city parks and boulevards. As you can see, Watertown has a lot to offer to all ages!

SECOND SESSION FALL SWIM LESSONS - Registration Opens at 12:00pm (noon) today!!

Session 2 will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings and offer two separate classes for each time slot. Classes will start at 6:00pm, 6:40pm, or 7:20pm

SESSION 2:
Oct 19th - Nov 11th
*Registration Opens September 23rd at 12:00pm

🌳 ROOTED IN WATERTOWN TREE PLANTING PROGRAM 🌳

Help grow a greener, healthier Watertown! 🌱

The Watertown Park, Recreation & Forestry Department, with support from a donation from the estate of Randy Roeseler, is offering the Rooted in Watertown Tree Planting Program!

This cost-sharing program gives City property owners the opportunity to choose from a variety of tree species. Trees will be planted by the Forestry Department along the street right-of-way.

🌿 Why participate?
Together, we can build a diverse and sustainable urban forest while increasing Watertown’s tree canopy for years to come!

💲 Cost: $100 per tree
🌳 Limit: 2 trees per property
📅 Registration Deadline: October 1, 2026

Registration is still open until tomorrow for our Adult Volleyball Leagues!! We offer a Coed, Women's, and Men's Divisions.

Team Fee: $250/Team for 16 games in the season.

Registration closes on September 21st!! The first week of games will be October 5th. Register soon to guarantee your team a spot!

🔥 TODAY IS THE GRILL & CHILL COOKOUT! 🔥

Stop by the Watertown Senior & Community Center today (Friday, September 18) from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. for our second Grill & Chill cookout!

We’ll have brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, a bake sale, and a 50/50 raffle. And good news — everything will be **inside** today, so we can avoid those pesky bees! 🐝

A big thank you to Kwik Trip, Glenn’s Market, and generous individuals who helped make today’s cookout possible through food donations. We appreciate your support!

❤️ Bonus: Our Blood Pressure Clinic will be here early from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Stop in, grab some lunch, and get your blood pressure check completed while you’re here!
