Strength Development Class Update!

To accommodate our growing classes, the 7:00 AM Tuesday and Thursday Strength Development classes are moving to the Fitness Studio. This bigger space allows us to welcome up to 29 members per class!

Note: Saturday’s class will continue to meet in the Express Studio.

We’re celebrating 100 years of serving our community!

The story of the Schultz Family YMCA began long before our doors opened in Watertown. In June, 1926, a group of community leaders came together with a shared belief: that a YMCA could strengthen the quality of life for youth and families in the Oconomowoc area. That vision took root, and in 1929 our YMCA was officially chartered.

Over the decades, that vision continued to grow and evolve. In 1964, our first full-facility YMCA was built in Oconomowoc, followed by a new facility in 2003. In 2008, our Y began managing the Health & Wellness Center in Watertown, which became our first YMCA location in the community in 2009. Most recently, following a successful capital campaign, we celebrated the opening of the Schultz Family YMCA in November 2025, replacing the former high school facility that had served the community for many years. Today, our association proudly serves the region through two branches: the Schultz Family YMCA in Watertown and the YMCA at Pabst Farms in Oconomowoc.

A century after that first gathering, we remain committed to the same purpose: creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn, grow, connect, and thrive.

As we celebrate our centennial, we honor the leaders who started it all and everyone who has helped shape our Y story over the past 100 years.
