WEM Volleyball

Congratulations to the WEM 17's JO team for winning the Medford Tournament on Saturday! The team went 4-1 on the day and avenged an earlier loss to Cannon Falls to claim the championship! Congrats to Alix Velzke for being named the MVP of the championship match! Great job girls and coaches!

Our WEM 12s teams finished their seasons at the Medford Tourney. Both teams displayed great sportsmanship and had fun all season long. We saw great growth and improvement. We are proud of our players, teams, and coaches! Awesome job! Congrats to the 12-1 team for winning the silver bracket.

Our 13s and 14s teams finished their JO seasons at Medford today. 14-1 went 4-1 and finished 2nd in the Gold, 14-2 went 3-2 and finished 2nd in the Silver. 13-1 finished 3rd in the Bronze. We are so proud of the sportsmanship and teamwork all our teams displayed this season. They all showed great improvement and growth as a team. Awesome job girls and coaches! Special thank you to the Morristown Fire Department for their donation to help us purchase new volleyballs.

Bucs Night Out is coming up soon! Our WEM students and the WEM communities have benefited immensely from the WEM Moving Forward Foundation's hard work. A successful Bucs Night out is a success for the students at WEM and the positive impact the WEM Moving Forward Foundation can provide!

Congratulations to the WEM 12-1 for winning our WEM Tournament! The girls advanced to the Gold Bracket where they defeated Fairmont 12s and Fairmont 11s to claim the championship! Our WEM 12-2s team has shown great improvement this season and went 3-1 in pool play sets before losing a hard fought match to Fairmont 11s in the Gold Bracket semi-final. Awesome job Bucs!

Congratulations to the WEM 14-1 JO team for winning the WEM Tournament today! The girls went 5-0 on their way to claiming the championship! The WEM 13-1's went 3-2, finishing the day 2-0 and winning the Silver Bracket Championship! The WEM 14-2's went 2-2 overall and advanced to the Gold Bracket before losing a tough match to the WEM 14-1's team! Great day of Buccaneer Volleyball! Awesome job girls and coaches!

WEM 17s JO had a fabulous weekend of volleyball. On Saturday they went 5-1 to win the NVC Tournament in Rochester! WEM defeated Atomic Force and Voltage in pool play. In bracket play WEM beat St. Charles, Club Rage, and avenged a pool play loss to Stewartville to claim the championship! At MSU on Sunday the Bucs went 4-2. Defeating the Junior Jays in pool play and bracket play, MN United, and White Bear Lake. Their lone losses came in pool play and the championship game to a talented Northern Iowa Blaze Club. Awesome job, girls!

More fun youth volleyball action this weekend. Our 12-1 and 12-2 teams competed hard against some great competition at the Owatonna Tournament. The 12-2s are a young team of 4th and 5th graders that have shown great progress throughout the season. Our 14-1, 14-2, and 13-1 teams were in action at MSU on Saturday in a tough 16 team tournament. 14-1s took third in the silver bracket while going 2-2 overall, 14-2s took 2nd in the bronze bracket, and 13-1s took 2nd in the copper bracket. Great job Bucs!

Our 14s and 13s played in Faribo today. Congrats to the WEM 14-2 team for winning the Silver Championship and finishing the day with a 10-2 set record. 14-1's went 3-0 in pool play, but dropped a tough first round match in the gold bracket. 13s had a tough pool and ended up losing a 2-1 heartbreaker in the Bronze Bracket. We are proud of all the teams for their sportsmanship, effort, and teamwork! Awesome job girls!

Congratulations WEM 12-1 for winning the Faribo Tournament today. After pool play the team advanced to the Gold Bracket. In their playoff games the Bucs defeated Dover-Eyota and avenged an earlier loss to Cannon Falls to win the championship! Awesome job girls!

Congrats to the WEM 16's for claiming the Silver Championship today at Faribo! The team fought hard and kept improving as the day went on. Awesome job girls!
