We are super proud of everyone that challenged themselves this Saturday. Regardless of results, I am super proud of everyone's performances. There's no other way to improve unless you continue to challenge yourselves.

**I also want to thank all the coaches that helped coach all of our students. Thank you to all of the teammates that showed up to support the team as well. It's always an amazing feeling to see that as a team we are so supportive for each other. We understand that some cannot come as well but maybe in the future you all can come and build a huge support team together. Let's try to build team photos during the tournaments.

I've attached a list of the results for our competitors that train in Watsonville. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone. My apologies in advance if I did.

We want to remind everybody of our OPEN MAT on November 14 for Veterans. We are working with the Got your 6 Foundation to help connect veterans combat PTSD through martial arts. Open Mat will start at 10:30. All family members are encouraged to attend. There is also a signup sheet in the dojo if you would like to provide snacks or a dish for the event. We are excited to have Kick Boxing World Champion, Francis Farley teaching a seminar at the Watsonville dojo on Saturday December 5th. This class will feature students in the age range from 4 years old to 6 years old. This class will begin at 3:10pm and end at 4:00 pm. After the first class on the 11th, this class will repeat on Monday and Wednesday moving forward. We are excited to open back up for classes today. We will have Kids BJJ from 4-5p. Kids Striking will be from 5-6pm, adult striking from 6-7pm and adult bjj to finish from 7-8:30pm. We hope to see all of you here. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Good Afternoon CFBJJ Watsonville Family,

After looking at the AQI today we feel it would not be in the safe interest of our students to open the gym today. We apologize for the inconvenience that that this may cause but we must think about the safety of all of our students. We understand that the air quality is improving and will do more evaluating on the matter to discern whether we will open or not tomorrow. As we are keeping a close eye on the fires to the north we hope that you all are staying as safe and as healthy as possible. We hope to see you all soon.

At this current time, given the poor air quality within Santa Cruz County, it would be best if we closed the dojo for the weekend. Classes will be suspended today through Saturday. We will monitor the situation closely and will make a decision whether to open up again on Monday. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause at this point but we felt that this was the safest option within the given circumstances. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out and contact us. Please stay safe and we hope to see everybody training soon. We will also be posting updates on Facebook and Instagram as well.
