Really cold this morning and I just wasn’t feeling it when the car’s thermometer said 38 on the way to the harbor. Thankfully a crew of the nicest young men I’ve met in a while and steady coho action made it a great morning.

20 fish limit plus 8 toss backs for about 33 in under 2 hours. Off the dock at 12 to 12:30. Set up the the mouth of the North Harbor n 14 feet. Trolled NE and started getting them in 25. Trolled to 40 off the stacks and zig zagged NW to 26 feet off Alcatraz. We were going 2.6 North. Turned south and stayed in 36 feet. Nothing for a while. Kicked the speed up to 2.8-2.9 and it was lights out. We needed 2 more for 20 and got them. Then 8 of the 10 rods and I n the water hooked up and all took fish which were released.

Yellow birds with 1/2 ounce knocker rigs, 00 red dodgers and Jimmy Fly Trolling Flies Rooster, 7up, Modified Two Tone and New and Improved Two Ton were best. The dipseys 15 to 30 out were next. With the same Jimmy Flies.
