Sunset Stables - Horse Boarding, Training, Trails & More
A beautiful, drama-free boarding facility conveniently located off of Hwy83/Sunset Dr in Genesee/Wau Stalls cleaned 7 days per week. Owners live on site.
Horses are turned out daily, weather permitting, in small herds in large paddocks for the winter with large run-in sheds and automatic heated waterers and rotated amongst three large pastures in the summer/fall. Horses are fed quality feed twice per day and an additional feed at night check for indoor boarders as needed. Additional amenities include insulated barn with padded stalls, attached 60'X

Thank you to Tina Fox for another great saddle fitting session. Tina fit in 7 horses from our barn and shared a wealth of knowledge with our barn family.

I know… enough of the auto-waterers, but seriously, these boys are loving it so much they just cant wait their turn. Luckily they can both fit their mouths in there and drink together. Silly boys! (Yes-these are our two with constant shenanigans.)

Yesterday was a rough day. We lost a horse due to complications of old age. Not a personal horse, but we feel the loss deeply. Jazz was one of our original boarders, joining our barn in April of 2021. He was the old man of the barn, always trying to be the big boss when a new horse was introduced, but he’d quickly be back to low man on the totem pole. I think the other horses respected him for his efforts, though and didn’t pick on him. Jazz was the sweetest boy, very respectful and would always greet me in the morning with a neigh while patiently waiting for his grain. I will remember him with this picture – happy and healthy with a face stuffed with grass. Run free in those ever-green pastures, buddy. We will miss you!
