Why do some martial arts students progress more properly than others?

It starts with proper instruction.

Not all instructor ranks and credentials are verified through official organization headquarters. At Genesis Martial Arts, instruction is led by 국기원 Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters and World Jidokwan Federation Licensed International Master Instructors with verified rank and instructor credentials.

It continues with proper structure.

Many programs try to fit forms, sparring, self-defense, fitness, kicking drills, and curriculum requirements into one or two 30-35 minute classes each week. That leaves very little time for repetition, correction, and skill development.

At Genesis Martial Arts, our students attend 50 and 60 minute classes with separate Forms and Sparring classes for additional focused training. Every class has a purpose and every skill gets the time and attention it deserves.

When students receive proper instruction, proper repetition, and proper training opportunities, they develop stronger fundamentals, better technique, greater confidence, and a deeper understanding of martial arts.

Congratulations to Mister Jacob on founding the "1100 Club" with ELEVEN HUNDRED classes trained! That level of dedication is why he is multi-time national gold medalist, multi-time state gold medalist, holds a 국기원 Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters 3rd Degree Black Belt, helps instruct our Junior level classes, and continues to build his skills and thrive in martial arts. Jacob truly is the rare one in a million that is seldom seen these days.

Master Metz and Master Lynn having a friendly 50 year olds KPNP Olympic Sparring match after our last KPNP sparring camp had mostly cleared out. Our next KPNP camp is Wed, 6/17 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Three rings of KPNP sparring. We are limiting spots so you get plenty of matches. $29 if you have KPNP socks. $49 if you need to rent KPNP socks. Entry fee waived for those with a family member who can operate the KPNP system or referee a ring. You're not going to find KPNP ring time for less than $100 elsewhere.

(you must be in good standing with Genesis to register and abide by light head kicks. This is practice to make us better, not a knockout competition.
