Forging gets pretty boring when you don’t have company! Maybe I need a truck cat instead of a dog

All the farriers I talk to and know say that a big thing holding farriers back is Creativity! This is not crazy creative but when you are in a tough spot we need to be able to improvise and get the job done to help the horse! I didnt have any rivets for my pads so shout out to EasyCare Inc. Protective Hoofwear for their super glue. I had some left over from a while ago and decided why not glue the pads onto the shoe! So far so good, Thank you Easy Care love your products.

Yes I know the pad is driving me crazy too…

Havent posted in a while so I thought I would share one of today’s before and after shoes. They started bad and they are still not great but they are better! After a few more cycles we should have better angles as the toe comes back. I love helping these horses that havent been done in a while, how rewarding! Also can we appreciate the difference between a shod hoof that has gone all summer without being touched, and a hoof that the horse pulled the shoe so it can wear how it’s supposed to naturally!!

If you need a farrier and are in southeastern Wisconsin or northern Illinois feel free to contact me. You can reach me through messenger or my number 414-731-8425.
I also do glue on shoes if you are interested!

This is a horse that had a laminitis flare last year. I did my first trim on this horse this last week and applied EasyCare Inc. Protective Hoofwear versa grip glue on shoes. He is growing out a new hoof and I was able to bring back his toe and heel to keep his hoofs under him and his hoof pastern axis in line.

Are you looking for someone to come out and shoe or trim your horse or other animal. I work on horses, mules, minis, goats, and pigs. I service Southeastern Wi and travel into Illinois. Not sure if you are in my seevice area don’t hesitate to reach out. You can reach me at 414-731-8425 or through facebook.
