Calling all donations!

The Great Cancer Shootout is just over a month away and Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club is in need of donations for the bucket raffle, silent auction, and live auction. This is a perfect way to help our mission of supporting families battling cancer and supporting cancer research services.

Tuesday - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wednesdays & Thursdays - 9 a.m. to dusk
Friday - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Thank you to all shooters who participated in the WI State FITASC Championship this past weekend! Some participants shot as many as 550 registered targets over the weekend.

Congratulations to FITASC HOA Tyler Melloy with 132/150, Runner-up Jackson Melloy with a 131/150, and Master Class First Place Andy Kalmer.

Congrats as well to non-resident FITASC champ Jim Scott, 5-Stand Champion Robert Wright (with a 50 straight!) and Saturday AND Sunday Super Sporting champ Aaron Dudek with a 98/100 on both days! Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers that helped to make it happen, and we'll see you at the next one!

McMiller Sports Center in Eagle, WI will be hosting the Pheasants Forever SE WI Open House next Saturday, June 20th! Registration is available at pheasantsforeverevents.org.

There will be no sporting clays for practice or league this week (June 10th, 11th, 13th) due to target setting for the WI State FITASC Championship.

Regular business clays shooting will commence as normal starting on Wednesday, June 17th. League shooters must have in 6 scores by Saturday, June 20th for the league divisions.

This Saturday, June 6 is a great day to visit the Club!

All league and practice rounds will earn an entry into a raffle for a $50 Wern Valley gift card. There are no other special events planned for tomorrow, so it will be a great day to get ahead on summer league scores, or bring some friends and family who don't normally shoot for a fun outing on the course.

Shooting hours are 9 a.m. to last squad out at 3 p.m. The practcie area on the side of the Clubhouse is also open for anyone looking to practice certain target presentations.

Gift card raffle will be pulled at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win!

Meet Henrick. Henrick is here from Switzerland. He is biking his way across the US to retrace his grandfather’s trip in the 1920’s. His grandfather came from Denmark to learn about farming and reported in his notebook at the time that Wern Farm had the highest standards of all the farms he visited. It was a pleasure to meet Henrick- he is camping at the farm for a couple nights and will bike his way to San Francisco by August 10th. We wish him well and look forward to reading the book he is writing about his grandfather’s experiences.

Wern Valley is hiring for its clays crew! The club is seeking a driven individual with year-round availability for this position. The ideal candidate would have an interest in learning about trap machines, their operation, and maintenance. The 23rd Annual Great Cancer Shootout is just over two months away! Mark your calendars and come out to Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club on Saturday, July 25th to shoot while supporting a great cause. All proceeds go directly to cancer research and support services.
