NAFC Comes to a Close - With Gratitude for an Incredible Journey
After much reflection, and with a very heavy heart, I’ve made the difficult decision to bring the North American Fighting Championship to a close.
The sudden passing of my longtime friend and business partner, Duke Roufus, has deeply changed the course of things. At this time, my focus needs to be fully on Roufusport and continuing the work he devoted his life to.
As a result, the December 13 NAFC “Season’s Beatings” event at the Waukesha Expo Arena is officially canceled.
For over 25 years, through Heavyweight Gladiators, Gladiators Fighting Championship, Knockout Kings, Wisconsin Fighting Championship, and the NAFC, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible athletes, coaches, fans, sponsors, partners, vendors, the WI State Commission and event staff, who helped make Wisconsin a true force in MMA.
Together, we helped launch more than 50 fighters into the UFC - including former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis and former Bellator Bantamweight Champion Sergio Pettis - and countless others who made their mark on the sport.
To everyone who has supported these events, from the early days to now, please accept my sincere gratitude. Your loyalty, energy, and belief in what we built together will never be forgotten.
With heartfelt appreciation and gratitude,
Scott Joffe

𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐂 “𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐦” 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚’𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
The Waukesha Expo Arena was electric on Saturday, September 6, 2025, as 𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐂 “𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐦,” 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 & 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, brought together the Midwest’s finest fighters for a night filled with drama, skill, and unforgettable finishes. From the hungry amateurs eager to make their mark to seasoned professionals putting it all on the line, fans were treated to an event that lived up to its name.
𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐂 “𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐦” 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬
The main card opened with a NAFC Bantamweight (-135 lbs) showdown between 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧 of 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 out of Antigo, Wisconsin, and 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫 of 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 in Beaver Dam. Conn wasted little time taking control, using sharp striking to overwhelm Raeder and forcing the referee to step in just 37 seconds into Round 2, giving Conn a statement TKO victory.
Another Bantamweight battle followed as 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨 of 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐌𝐌𝐀 clashed with Milwaukee’s 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀. Castillo showed calm poise and excellent distance control, steadily racking up points on the scorecards to secure a unanimous decision win over Davis.
At Lightweight (-155 lbs), 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐦 of 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐀 from Eau Claire faced off with Milwaukee’s 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐎𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐜𝐨 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀. Abram’s constant pressure and high-volume striking set the pace for all three rounds, earning him a unanimous decision victory and another big step forward in his amateur career.
The NAFC Featherweight (-145 lbs) division delivered fireworks when Milwaukee’s 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐜𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 of 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐌𝐀 met 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐬 of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐆𝐲𝐦 in Minneapolis. McDonald showcased both power and accuracy, battering Williams with heavy shots until the referee was forced to stop the fight at 1:25 of Round 2, giving McDonald a big stoppage win in front of his home crowd.
Closing out the amateur portion of the “Summer Slam” card, 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧 of 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐞’𝐬 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐌𝐀 squared off against fellow Milwaukee fighter 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀. The three-round contest was tactical and hard-fought, but Jordan’s consistency and veteran savvy earned him a unanimous decision, sending the Pura Vida faithful home happy.
The professional portion of the evening began with a Lightweight debut for 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐇𝐮𝐟𝐟 of 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐌𝐀, who faced 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐚 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀 in a battle of Milwaukee prospects. The fight was razor-close from start to finish, with both men having strong moments, but Huff edged out a split decision to kick off his pro career with a win.
In the co-main event, 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐛 𝐑𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬-𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐬 of 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐌𝐀, went to war with 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐣𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐡 of 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 in Frankfort, Illinois. The back-and-forth Welterweight (-170 lbs) clash reached deep into the third round before Rogers-Williams unleashed a storm of strikes that forced the referee to step in at 4:38, earning him a dramatic TKO victory in front of a roaring crowd.
The NAFC “Summer Slam” main event featured 𝐓𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 of 𝐈𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 out of Holmen, Wisconsin, taking on Milwaukee’s veteran 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐨𝐥 of 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚 and 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀. Peterick wasted no time asserting himself, quickly transitioning to Konkol’s back and sinking in a rear naked choke just 1:28 seconds into Round 1. The swift submission secured Peterick a huge victory and capped off NAFC “Summer Slam” in spectacular fashion.
𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐂 “𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐦” 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬
The 𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐂 “𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐦” 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝 lit up the Waukesha Expo Arena this past Saturday, with young talent from across the Midwest putting their skills to the test. Fans were treated to a mix of lightning-fast submissions, hard-fought decisions, and breakout performances that proved why NAFC is the proving ground for the region’s future stars.
The night opened at -𝟓𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬, where Beloit’s 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. of 𝐌𝐌𝐀 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨 wasted no time against Milwaukee’s 𝐀𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 “𝐀𝐉” 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐫. of 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, securing a D’arce choke just 1:50 into the first round. At -𝟗𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬, Freeport’s 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬 of 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐀 showed slick grappling in a back-and-forth battle, finishing Beloit’s 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫 of 𝐌𝐌𝐀 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨 with a tight armbar at 1:25 of Round 2.
The action stayed hot at -𝟏𝟏𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬, where Milwaukee’s 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐨 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀 scored an impressive anaconda choke over 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐮 of 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐀 in just under two minutes. The pace then shifted at -𝟏𝟐𝟎 𝐥𝐛𝐬, as Milwaukee’s 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀 and Freeport’s 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬 of 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐀 went the distance, with Stone edging out a narrow split decision.
At -135 lbs, Roseville, Minnesota’s 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐨𝐨 of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐲𝐦 battled Fond du Lac’s 𝐓𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 of 𝐆𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 in a tactical three-rounder, taking home a split decision victory. The other -𝟏𝟑𝟓 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 was shorter but no less intense, as Franklin’s 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬 “𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐨” 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐳𝐚𝐤 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀/𝐀𝐬𝐤𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 wasted little time, submitting Wautoma’s 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐭 of 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐁𝐉𝐉 with a rear naked choke at 1:57 of Round 1.
The -𝟏𝟒𝟓 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 brought its own excitement: Eau Claire’s 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐠 of 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐀 secured an arm triangle at 1:35 of Round 2 over Oconomowoc’s 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦 of 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝; Milwaukee’s 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀 outlasted Oak Creek’s 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐧𝐠 of 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐌𝐌𝐀 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐬 to win by unanimous decision; and Milwaukee’s 𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 “𝐉𝐚𝐯𝐢” 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐳 of 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐌𝐀 capped the weight class with a Round 2 arm triangle victory over Oak Creek’s 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐳 of 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐬.
The lone NAFC Novice Muay Thai bout at -𝟏𝟓𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬 showcased the striking side of the sport, as Nashotah’s 𝐓𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐝 of 𝐉𝐒 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐛𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 displayed poise and precision on his way to a unanimous decision over Green Bay’s 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐬𝐨𝐧 of 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 in what many thought could have earned the Undercard’s "𝘍𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵” honors.
In a -155 battle Milwaukee’s 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀 eked out a split decision over Holmen’s 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 of 𝐈𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, while Milwaukee’s 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐝𝐞𝐧 of 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐌𝐀 earned a clear unanimous decision against Oak Creek’s 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 of 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐆𝐲𝐦 at -155. Primal MMA added another win at -𝟏𝟓𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬 when Milwaukee’s 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐃𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 picked up a unanimous decision over 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐚-𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀.
At -𝟏𝟏𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬, Janesville’s 𝐇𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭 of 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐀 stunned the crowd with one of the fastest finishes of the night. Skipping the customary glove tap at the start of the round, Garrett immediately shot for a takedown and locked in an arm triangle on Milwaukee’s 𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐤 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐬 of 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐌𝐀, forcing the tap just 18 seconds into the contest.
The undercard wrapped with a high-stakes rematch at -𝟏𝟖𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬, where Milwaukee’s 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 of 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐌𝐀 showcased grit, grinding through two tough rounds before finishing Brighton, Michigan’s 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬 of 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 with a rare Ezekiel choke at the one-minute mark of Round 3.
From the opening bell to the final submission, the 𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐂 “𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐦” Novice, Amateur and Pro fights delivered wall-to-wall excitement. Fighters representing gyms from Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan poured their hearts into the cage, and the roaring Waukesha Expo Arena crowd showed why this event remains a staple in Midwest combat sports.
With breakout performances, highlight finishes, and fierce rivalries on display, September 6th will be remembered as one of NAFC’s most thrilling nights in recent memory.
