Coaching Pole Vault is so much more than just coaching Pole Vault. I can’t say enough how amazing it was and how incredibly blessed I am to have coached and met so many amazing kids and their families during the “off season” at Polebenders. It has been about 275 days from the Wisconsin State Track and Field Championship Meet last June. I counted roughly 75 different days that I Pole Vaulted with kids. Anywhere from 1 kid at a time to 12 or more at once. By my estimations I coached about 75 different kids through the summer at Wisco, the Fall at Waukesha South and indoor over the Winter at the club. So many of these kids and their families have become like family to me and family to each other. I am so proud of them and proud to have had the opportunity to coach them. Thank you so much to all of you and to the parents for trusting me and my other coaches to coach them. What a journey it has been and I look forward to this high school (and College) track and field season and can’t wait for the opportunity to coach all of you again.
