🏆 𝐑𝐂𝐂 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩: 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐧 🏆

What a finish to the Senior Match Play division at the Racine County Classic, presented by CJW and Miller Lite!

Talk about a thrilling finale! Heading into Game 6—the head-to-head position round—only 22 pins separated the leader, Rich Larsen, and 2nd place Mike Vasey. Because they were so close, the final game became a true "winner-take-all" battle for the title.

Larsen came in clutch when it mattered most, firing a 268 game (+30 bonus pins) in that final match to secure the championship with a 1,630 total pinfall (+430).

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭:

𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞: 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐧 (1,630 total) - Finished 4-2 in match play and grabbed the title with a huge 268 finish, leading the field with a 1,510 scratch total!
𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞: 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐲 (1,515 total) | Also went 4-2 in match play and put up a phenomenal fight all day, highlighted by the front 10 in Game 2 for a 289.
𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞: Joe Arvai IV (1,467 total) | Once again, Arvai finished incredibly strong to end a block, firing a big 265 (+30) in the final game to lock down his spot on the podium.

Mama said there'd be days like this.... Talk about a tough draw! Jim Wegner ran into an absolute buzzsaw to start the night, having a stout 830 series (games of 262, 289, and 279) shot directly against him in the first three matches.

Congratulations to Rich Larsen on his second Racine County Classic Senior Division Championship (his first was in 2022), and a huge shoutout to all of our senior competitors who put on an absolute show! 🎳
