As much as technology can help your hunt, it can also hinder it.

Friday I sat all day in a stand with no heat that Brutus has been frequenting in hopes to get another chance after my bow hunting mishap, to only see 2 deer. Saturday I decided I was going to enjoy some heat and sit where I’ve been successful the last 2yrs about 900yds away. I get a notification on my phone of a “mature buck” at the other stand at 7:45am. Brutus is back 💪 With Brutus typically returning in the afternoon, I make the choice to switch stands at 11am.

At 12:45 I get another notification from the stand I left prior…then again at 2pm, it’s Brutus 🤦‍♂️ Evidently he’s playing chess while I’m playing checkers 😩

That night we stopped at the tavern to check out the buck pool when the camera behind the bar showed a truck backing up to weigh a 🦌. One glance I knew it was him 😭

Congrats to the gal that got it done at 4pm! He ended up being a 146lb, 10pt, with an 18” spread.

Although it stings a bit, that’s hunting 🤷‍♂️ Already looking forward to next year 🤙

Wifey and I got it done with a pair of muleys yesterday. She put on a clinic with this monster…35mph winds with 75mph gusts @ 218yds 💪 HELL YEAH!
