The annual Waupaca Area Triathlon is a fun sporting event for all ages and skill levels held on the The swim is in Shadow Lake, which will be point to point.
This event takes place at South Park's Shadow Lake which is in downtown Waupaca and easy to find. The bike route then travels through the quaint, quiet countryside southeast of Waupaca, past picturesque lakes and rolling hills. The run continues on to the very flat and fast city streets of Waupaca as the final leg is completed. Individuals may compete in a Long Course: 1/2 mile swim, 20 mile bike,

Waupaca Area Triathlon presented checks totaling $8,500 to organizations that our volunteers donate their hours of time to. Organizations receiving checks are: ARES, Boy Scout Troop 634, Chain Exploration Center, Mobility for Vets, Operation Backpack, Rotary Club of Waupaca, Scandinavia Library, ThedaCare Volunteers, VFW Auxiliary 1037, Waupaca Community Theater, Waupaca Curling Club, Waupaca Dance Team, Waupaca Historical Society, Waupaca Lions, Waupaca Volley Ball, WAYHA, WHS Boys Soccer Team, WHS Girls Soccer Team, ThedaCare Nurses, Trinity Lutheran Church. Our Pack Animal Rescue, WHS Cross Country, Boy Scout Troop 248, Waupaca International Cultural Exchange.
Get ready to push your limits! The Waupaca Area Triathlon is thrilled to announce its 25th annual event, scheduled for August 14th and 15th, 2026. Further updates will follow. Registration will commence on January 1st, 2026, and is expected to sell out.
