As I look back at this past years tournament fishing, my father and I were lucky enough to spend as much time in the boat together. We had our ups and downs throughout the year but we always had a great time. The fishing always seemed to work its way in our favor and we have our partner boats to thank for all the help along the way.
Finishing 8th in the Championship and 9th over all in Team of the Year was a great accomplishment for us. We always strive to make it to the National Shootout each year and I'm sure with a little more hard work it will happen once again.
Thanks again to Aj Schmidt, Michael Kasper, Jason Kircher, and Scott Bleck for being great partners. Also Peterson Marine for keeping us on the water, and a huge shout out to Recon Boats for a fantastic boat that handles everything these waters throw at it.
Last but not least Denny Fox and AIM Fishing for putting on one of the best Tournament Series around. Every year we look forward to fish against the best sticks in the Midwest.

Tuesday was an unbelievable bite again on Winnebago. Reagan, Kristen and Ken had an unforgettable day as the fish cooperated all day. Both trolling structure and the ever so humbling mud bite has been producing lots of great fish. Flicker shads seem to be the go-to bait and finding the right color is key.
These walleye are making the trip back to Arizona for a great fish fry. I have few dates available yet for June and July is starting to fill up. If you are intersted to learn Bago or just want to catch some fish book your trip before it's too late.

Last weekend Bobby and the boys from Illinois saw all Lady Bago could throw at them. We started the morning with flat water and one of the worst fly hatches I have seen. The bite started slow, then with a little bit of wind things picked up.
Trolling cranks was the ticket and staying on active pods of fish was the key. The bite on the Winnebago system is on fire right now and should only get better!

Started this past holiday weekend out with an epic day of fishing. Bouncing jigs with crawlers was the hot ticket and these 4 great walleyes couldnt resist. Fishing drop offs, 10 - 16 ft of water finding active pods kept me busy for half the day.

When the kids ask to go fishing you always make time to take them. We headed out to a local lake and drug 1/16 oz jigs tipped with a half of crawler. Rory and Banning took turns reeling each of these fish in. A quick picture and released back for another day.

A few days late, but rest from a long week of fishing for the NWT was needed. Finishing 41st wasn't the finish I was looking for, but against the best walleye fisherman in the world and a tough cold front bite, I'll take it. Trolling the up river lakes was my game plan, and they produced great fishing all threw the week. Less than a pound out of money, the experience was second to none. The Recon performed amazing and handled everything Lady Bago threw at it. A big thank you to Peterson Marine for keeping me on the water. The Winnebago system is producing great fishing and should only get better.

Last week's Green Bay gold. Wrapping up our tournament season was a blast. To bad the fish didn't cooperate like we wanted them to on derby day. Had a great time this year and waiting already for next year.

Had the pleasure to fish with Todd from New York this morning. We had numerous doubles and caught our fish in just over an hour. If your looking for some great fishing I have dates available.

The time is here when things get really busy. Things around the house need to be completed and Wisconsin opener is right around the corner. Today we prepared for both by tilling the garden and picking worms for future fish catching. Little do my kiddos know that almost all of the earth worms they picked were in halves from the tiller but they think bait was caught for their next big adventure. They won't realize that I had picked crawlers in the cold rain the last couple weeks in preperation for the upcoming summer. They will in fact catch a meal from their hard work over the next couple months and it will make a full circle. It's not always about catching the most, or biggest fish when heading out, but keeping one of the best outdoor recreations strong for generations to come. Take a kid fishing and see the smiles!

Walleyes for Weston. It's great to see the surrounding communities come together for a good cause. If your not fishing today stop down to the Waupaca County Fair grounds for weigh in from 12 to 3 today and support this little man with his battle with cancer. Plenty of raffles and food to eat. We are proud to be apart of this day!
