Hey bikers. Update on Luke’s bike shop. Unfortunately I’m going to be shutting down the bike shop. Thank you for all your support over the last few years. It’s been fun to see and work on all types of bikes and get people out to enjoy them.

It has already been a busy start to the spring. Two new bike builds for customers. There are some nice bike deals in the industry right now. I can help you get on that new ride and make sure your new bike is setup correctly.

This last weekend I competed at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in St. George, UT. Again it takes a team of support to be successful. On my test ride Thursday in UT before the race, I realized I bent my rear derailleur hanger. I reached out to TJ Tollakson at Dimond Bikes and he was able to coordinate with my friend from Des Moines that was getting ready to travel out to St. George to support me. Then next day I had the part and a working bike. Race day I was able to get 24th out of 644 in the 40-44M AG. It was an amazing day, thanks to my team!

Last Week I competed at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in St. George, UT. I had an amazing race and experience. But this Post isn't about the race or me.

Whoever thinks Triathlon is an individual sport is not seeing the whole picture. I had a team of supporters that believed in me and supported me in accomplishing a goal. My coach, kids, in-laws, parents, and friends all came together to make that day possible.

Especially my wife! She was my rock in my ups and downs. She sacrificed so that I could have time to do the necessary training. She got me through injuries and sickness. The week of the race she gave me everything in needed and more. I could not have performed the way I did without her there by my side. I love you Babe!

Another Service I offer is helping people buy new bikes! I offer a year of tune-ups for bikes I help purchase and assemble. I am not limited to any particular brand or region. Factory new or used. As a PSA, I highly recommend not buying a bike with 24in wheels or larger from any of the "Big Box Stores". At least check out your local bike shop, or give me a holler. For roughly another $75 to $100 more, you can get a bike that will last you for decades vs one or two summers. Quality components go a long way in giving you an enjoyable experience biking! Looking for an e-bike? I can help with that as well!
