Dance Wave

I have a bittersweet announcement to share. I have decided that it's time for me to step away from being studio owner/director of Dance Wave, and focus more on my family. Miss Alyssa has decided to take over in my place, and I couldn't be happier about that. We signed the papers today, so she is officially the new owner! Alyssa has been talking about owning her own studio for awhile, and I am so excited for her to be able to fulfill her dream. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to step out of this role and know that the studio that I built from nothing 7 years ago will continue to grow and flourish under the leadership of someone I love and respect so much, and who is as passionate about dance as I am!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has been a part of the Dance Wave family for the last 7 years. It has truly been one of the greatest, most fulfilling parts of my life and I will cherish it forever!! 💜

We kicked off the holiday performance season this past weekend by joining the Wartburg Community Symphony in their production of The Nutcracker! 💂🏻‍♀️🎄❤️

The studio will be open from 5-6:30 tonight for those who still need to register for classes or order dance wear/shoes!!

We are already in the beginning stages of planning for next year’s recital 🤗 We have an idea for a theme, but need your help! Over the rest of the weekend, please ask your dancer what they love, or what are their favorite things! Kids were asked at camp this summer and the overwhelming top 2 were dance and dogs, but we need more ideas (so if those are the answers you get, maybe ask what else they love 😉). Some examples: favorite food/treat, where they like to travel, WHO they love, favorite book/movie, etc. Post their answers in the comments. If they tell you what they love and WHY they love it, post their quote in the comments as well. We look forward to reading their responses! 😍 -Ms. Tasha

We are so close to finalizing our class schedule for the upcoming dance year and will be sending it out very soon! In the meantime, registration dates are August 1 & 2, 3:30-6:30 pm. This will include dance shoe fittings as well as the opportunity to order dance wear. Can’t make it either of these dates? No problem! There will be other opportunities to stop by the studio to register leading up to the first day of classes that will be announced at a later date. Summer workshops for 10-18 year olds are fast approaching! Whether you planning to audition for Performance Company or not, this camp is for you! The workshop is Monday-Wednesday, with auditions on Thursday.

Hey Dancers! We have a new product out for all of you this year! Our dance banners are AMAZING

These girls crushed it in their solos/duets/trios this past weekend!! Their hard work, grace and determination has paid off and made us so proud (and the place medals don’t hurt either 😉🏅 ).

With school being canceled, there will be no dance classes tonight. Everyone stay safe!

We’ve got a great group of guys signed up for Dude’s Dance again this year, but would love to have even more! Let me know if you know of a dance dad that might be interested. This is always an audience favorite and will not disappoint this year either!
