A little life update on Reacher, straight from Amy ❤️
Reacher is my love story dog. He is very loyal and stays (herds) me every step of my day. He is handsome and loves our morning walks, our coffee time on the couch (yes on the couch). After morning chores and work, we are both loyal to our 20 minute nap everyday around 1:00. He sleeps with his head on Ryan’s pillow actually and neither of us move. Its fabulous. We walk to gate and back and he gets to check out all the smells from morning activity.
When his brothers return from their training, he’s quick to put them in their place and knows his “spot” on the living room floor for down time. When someone approaches the gate for dog drop off or pick up, it’s Reacher that comes to get me or nudge me or one strong barks it before I get a text from anyone saying they are here. So on that account, he is a very good receptionist and happy to walk anyone back to their cars following a visit.
When I play Mahjong with my group, he is not to be left out. He goes from player to player for his dues. Head pets, handsome boy compliments and a sneak of snack food. He has no problem sticking his head in everyone’s purse or bag for a good sniff but doesn’t steal anything.
His favorite thing in the whole world is his red ball for fetch. While he doesn’t hold a candle to the labs for retrieving, his enthusiasm wins and if he isn’t finished when I am, he steals his ball and goes to sit far away staring at me. As in not coming into the house. If in insist, he is very obedient.
When Elizabeth visits, he cries from his kennel until she gets him. So I guess he does have a girlfriend bc he will jump high and hope for a full body hug from her. He loves all the workers here and while they joke about kidnapping him, I do believe he would go with them for one night and then come home for sure!
While I am his person, his total loyalty remains with Ryan- our alpha & trainer!
