In yoga, santosha means contentment. It’s learning to be at peace with where you are and what you have.

In our physical practice, that might look like appreciating what we can do today instead of judging it against what we could do yesterday or wishing it looked different.

We can still want to do and be better, but that desire doesn’t stop us from appreciating who we are and all we’ve achieved right now.

Santosha reminds us that our practice doesn’t have to be perfect. Just show up, breathe, and accept yourself in this moment.

Happy International Day of Yoga!

When most people think of yoga, they think of poses. But the physical practice is actually just one small part of yoga.

Traditional yoga is often described through the Eight Limbs of Yoga. A framework for living with more awareness, purpose, and connection.

It’s about how we treat others.
How we treat ourselves.
How we move.
How we breathe.
How we focus.
How we find a little more peace in a busy world.

The poses help us build strength, balance, and mobility, but yoga offers so much more than what happens on a mat.

So whether your yoga practice today is a full class, a few stretches, a quiet moment of gratitude, or simply taking a deep breath before reacting to a stressful situation, you’re practicing more than poses.

You’re practicing being present.

Happy Summer Solstice!

Today marks the longest day of the year, a reminder to pause and appreciate the light, both around us and within us.

The Summer Solstice invites us to celebrate growth, abundance, and all that has flourished during this season of life. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on what brings you energy and joy, and to set intentions for how you want to spend the months ahead.

A simple way to honor the day:

* Spend some time outdoors in the sunshine.
* Take a mindful walk and notice the beauty around you.
* Write down three things that are thriving in your life right now.
* Set one intention for the rest of the summer.
* Move your body in a way that feels joyful and energizing.
