Saturday morning with my running partner.
The goal right now isn’t speed..it’s building distance, endurance, and consistency.
Truthfully, it was a hard start. We almost didn’t make it out the door. But the runs you’re tempted to skip are often the ones you’re proudest of when they’re done.
Every mile builds stamina.
Every run builds confidence.
Every time you show up, you prove to yourself that you can do hard things.
Today wasn’t perfect, but we got it done. And that’s what counts.
The goal wasn’t to run fast.
The goal was to finish.
2.35 miles later, we did exactly that!
One of us is learning to run.
The other is running through recovery.
No excuses.
No shortcuts.
Everyone needs that one unhinged friend who supports the delusion and always hypes you up no matter what.
No excuses. No perfect timing. No perfect starting point. Just start. 🏃♀️
One of us is becoming a runner. The other is recovering from a pulled hip flexor and iliopsoas bursitis. Different journeys. Same mindset.
Because nobody starts at the finish line. We all start somewhere.
Some days you’re chasing goals. Some days you’re chasing healing. But showing up still counts.
You don’t need perfect conditions. You need commitment. Lace up. Show up. Just do it.
