Gonna take a minute,
to give these two young men props!
Jacob reached out to me,
informing me that he,
and his friend, Colin,
would like to take a private 2-Gun Training Class....
and yesterday evening,
we were finally able to get together.
After the initial intros, safety and range briefs,
and briefing me of their experience & goals,
we began to train.
And I'm going to talk about a bit of good & a bit of bad....
The Good-
The work they already put in.
These two were safe. I mean, really safe! Their gun handling was spot on, and you could tell they've been putting in work. They believed in dry firing, and it showed. They performed better than expected when I worked through the fundamentals while dry firing.
Now The Bad-
Also, the work the already put in.
Though they've dry fired a ton, with backgrounds in ai***ft, that doesn't necessarily translate to putting rounds on target (and they know this. This is why they signed up for training)
Dry Firing doesn't streets the importance of have a good enough stance & grip to mitigate recoil & muzzle flip.
But.....
Through the duration of the class,
they listened,
and learned,
and improved.
Emphasizing accuracy,
adding a touch of speed,
shooting paper, then steel,
single targets, then multiple,
stationary, then moving, laterally, forward,
changing distances, multiple sized targets.
And they learned.
Shot Groups got Smaller.
Cadence got better.
Skills improved.
Now they have to continue to apply those skills,
while dry firing,
and on the live fire range.
Great Job,
Colin & Jacob,
I look forward to training with you both again!
