What a great first weekend of swimming! All the kids gave it their all, swam fast, and had fun. Plenty more season to go, but off to a good start. Everything is "Okay" when you are doing something you love with your friends. And look at that support group (the parents) we got?! Love seeing all those parents together. We may be a small team, but we got the goods!! Thankful...

A little late sharing, but we couldn't be more proud of the work Quinn put in this past year. The potential was always there. It's amazing what can be done when you put your nose to the grindstone and put in the work. Way to go Quinn!! Proud of you dude!

Stuarts Draft High School senior and Shenandoah Marlins Aquatics Club swimmer recently made two qualifying cuts in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 breaststroke.

It was a long tough season of hard work, but it's time to let the "stress" go of performing and let loose and have some fun. These kids earned it.

Swam the perimeter a few times for warm-up. Played a big game of follow the leader (do what they do, no regular strokes) up and down each lane over 8 and back. Then topped it off with some water polo. Smiles and morning sunlight ... Worth it.

The Boys had a great Senior Champs, EVERY swim was a drop, including all relay splits. Here are the highlights:

Aiden: this was his last meet as he graduated in May. And he had a great finish. He dropped in everything but noteably 2.89 in his 200 free (2:04.08) and 1.46 in his 100 back (1:03.23)

Anderson: was battling an ankle injury since October and as a result couldn't train 100% and was gone 10 days on a mission trip during taper for this meet...BUT he came anyway to swim with the boys on relays and give it his best in the 50 and 100 free. And in spite of the adversity he STILL showed out!! He dropped almost 2 seconds in his 100 Free (57.52) on the relay and 1 sec in his 50 free lead off split (officially 25.39).

Quinn: showed off his hard work in his events as well, especially his breaststroke. He dropped 2.74 in his 100 breast (1:11.28) and 3.38 in his 200 breast (2:38:84). He dropped in the other 2 events and three relays as well.

Xavier: not surprisingly also came to play. Our resident male distance swimmer dropped 15.16 in his 800 free (9:02.66) and 12.64 in his 1500 (17:18.33) and dropped in his other 3 events as well including relays.

Couldn't be more proud of these 4 dudes. They have always put in the work and focus in practice and this weekend they got to reap the benefits.
