The Greene County Water Park in Waynesburg and operated by the Greene County Department of Recreation will open for the summer 2020 season with operational changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic and guidelines from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pennsylvania Recreational and Park Society (PRPS), and Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Admission Passes
Admission passes will be sold through the Department of Recreation at their office location of 107 Fairgrounds Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm. Call 724-852-5323 for additional information. Admission passes are not available for purchase at the pool or water park.
Passes will be available for daily pool use during a specified time frame during the seasonal operation.
Red Pass (11am-2pm): $50 per person (all ages)
Blue Pass (2:30-5:30pm): $50 per person (all ages)
White Pass (5-Day Punch Card): $30 per Child and $40 per Adult
Purple Pass (Lap Lane Swimming 6-7pm): $30 per person
*Red and Blue Passes will be for a pool of your choice, either the Greene County Water Park or Carmichaels Pool.
**White Punch Cards can be used at either the Greene County Water Park or Carmichaels Pool. The punch cards permits one individual to enter the pool facility during five (5) time frames during the seasonal operation.
***Purple Passes are valid at the Greene County Water Park only Sunday through Thursday.
****If no pool parties are scheduled from 7-9pm, the pool is open to any pass holders.
COVID-19 Guidelines
Pools will be following the PRPS Guidelines and CDC Social Distancing Guidelines
Temperatures will be taken with no-touch thermometers upon entrance to pool.
There will be no chaise lounges available. You are permitted to bring your own lawn chair if you choose.
Food will not be permitted or sold. You may bring your own water or sports drink.
Each pool will be disinfected between time frames.
All bags will be checked before entering the pool area.
Pool Parties
Pool parties will be held at the Greene County Water Park and Carmichaels Pool from 7 to 9pm on Sundays through Thursdays. Bookings begin Wednesday, June 3 through the Department of Recreation at 724-852-5323.
Pool Party Rental Fees
25 people or less: $150
26-50 people: $250
Swimming Lessons
Swim lessons will be held at the Carmichaels Pool only. Sessions times are 6-6:30pm and 6:30-7pm. Weekly classes (Monday-Friday) are $25 and available June 29-August 24. Registration and payment is through the Department of Recreation at 724-852-5323.
About Greene County Water Park
The water park features a 330,000-gallon competition-sized pool with eight lap lanes, two diving boards and a 12-foot diving pool; a 40-by-40-foot children’s play area including a 148-foot spiral water slide, a 25-foot straight water slide, a 180-foot “lazy river” with tubes for floating, water jets and other play equipment; a bath house with lockers, restrooms, showers and changing facilities.
Pool hours and closings are subject to change in the event of inclement weather and staff availability.
